If you are visiting our website, you or someone you know may be among the estimated 200 million people worldwide suffering from a pelvic pain disorder. There are many causes of pelvic pain such as interstitial cystitis, irritable bowel syndrome, endometriosis, post-operative hysterectomies and prostatitis to name a few. These conditions can have a profound impact on your daily activities and quality of life.

As a pelvic pain sufferer, your health and fitness needs are extremely diverse. New Dawn Pilates was conceived with those unique needs in mind. We are confident that our DVDs and the New Dawn Pilates community will assist you on your journey to restore and maintain an active lifestyle.

FOR PEOPLE WITH PELVIC PAIN

Whether you are newly diagnosed with a pelvic pain disorder or have been dealing with your condition for sometime, chances are you’ve encountered limited resources on the topic of exercise. Often times, the resources that are available address the types of exercises that people with pelvic pain issues shouldn’t do and fall short in providing a variety of suggestions that pelvic pain sufferers could do.

One day, I had been expressing my frustration to my husband about the lack of exercise resources and he suggested to me, "Why don't you create a video? Your training and ideas could be beneficial to other pelvic pain sufferers who are searching for safe exercise options." I wanted REAL exercise, exercise that could actually help tone my muscles and perhaps even make me sweat a little bit (just a little bit).  I had the very fortunate advantage of having my husband, Tom, be a filmmaker/video producer. After talking with some friends, fellow pelvic pain sufferers and a few specialists, I decided I would create New Dawn Pilates: a pilates-inspired workout adapted for people with pelvic pain.

NEW DAWN PILATES is about more than just effective workout DVDs for people with pelvic pain. Although we seek to promote active lifestyles and offer effective, at-home exercise programs, we also desire INTERACTION with those who suffer from pelvic pain. We want you to communicate with us about what works and doesn't work for you. We want to grow as a company, through your input and ideas. You are needed to help expand the exercise resources and options available to those suffering with pelvic pain.
