We are excited to announce a 9 week term of beginners’ belly dance classes, starting on Wednesday, 2 Feb, yes all the twos, 2/2/22.
In these classes we will be exploring Middle Eastern movements through the whole body, from our heads to our feet.
The aim is to help you with the development of good posture, and a strong core, while improving fitness, strength and balance. But mostly we want you to have fun in the supportive atmosphere of a belly dance class.
Music and dance of all kinds is great for your heart, mind, and spirit. It elevates your mood, and decreases your stress.
Belly dance in particular works with your body, not against it, and many people find an increased pride, and confidence in what their bodies can do.
These classes are suitable for those with little or no dance experience, as well as those wanting to brush up on the basic building blocks of belly dance.

What to wear/bring
Comfortable clothing that’s easy to move in. Ideally active wear or yoga pants along with a fitted top/singlet
A hipscarf/belt/sash, don’t worry if you don’t have one, we will have plenty
A water bottle
A towel/mat for cool down
