What mum and daughter Jane and Lauren needed

Jane and Lauren were looking for a new bonding experience where they could spend quality time together doing something they're mutually interested in.

They also wanted to take a break for some self-care and treat themselves to a few days of meditation, reflection and relaxation with like-minded women in a safe environment.

They found what they needed at a New Dawn Retreat

Lo and behold, they found exactly what they needed (and more) at New Dawn's Women's Wellness Retreat!

“I felt relaxed during the retreat whilst also immersing myself in new and exciting experiences”

At the Retreat, Jane and Lauren enjoyed a variety of holistic healing activities such as Yoga, Meditation, Sound Healing, Chakra Dancing, Pool Pilates, Art Therapy, Nature Walk, Women’s Circle and more.

They were free to participate in as much or as little as they liked, depending on what felt good for them.

“The activities were diverse and catered to a number of tastes. It’s fantastic as it allowed us to pick which activities we would like to participate in. There’s a culture of ‘doing what’s best for you’ which was so helpful”

Developing a deeper and stronger mum-and-daughter relationship

The Retreat gave them a safe space and the needed time to relive and create memories whilst getting to know the women they have become.

The Retreat allowed us the space and time to connect on another level that you don't get in mundane day-to-day life

It's a sacred space that encourages you to share private thoughts that you may otherwise keep to yourself”

“I think the Retreat helped deepen and strengthen our relationship as mum and daughter

Seeing each other in a new light

Through the new experiences at the Retreat, Jane and Lauren saw sides of themselves that made them love and appreciate each other more.

I got to see how my daughter relates and interacts with others and new people in particular. It was confirmed to me what a caring and compassionate human being she is, and I’m very proud of her” - Jane

I discovered that my mum is quite creative and enjoys creative activities; I thought she just did them with me as a child out of obligation. She’s quite good at macramé!” - Lauren

As we had a lot of time to talk during the Retreat whilst walking and swimming in the pool, I was blown away by Lauren’s insights and thoughts regarding motherhood. This is information that I didn't have at the same age. She is going to be a wonderful mother” - Jane
